CSR is one of the core functional department in IDFC Bharat Ltd., constantly support the entire operations and its related activities. Besides, this department enhances the base of the organization through member mobilization, retention and addressing major challenges in organizational programs.

Purposes & Objective

The purpose of this document is to clearly articulate the detailed procedure that will be followed by Program Manager/ Regional CSR Team for performing their roles as per the delegation of power prescribed by CSR department.

Scope of the CSR

The scope of CSR is to improve the healthy life to members, safeguarding the environment, increasing the economic activities though livestock protection, Empowering the clients in social aspects and Eradication of hunger in society.


Key Functions


The major functions performed by the CSR Department as follows

A. Camp Activities

There are four type of camps is being performed by the department on basis of circumstance and field requirement like Health, Environment, Veterinary & Charity Programs.

1. Health Camps

Under CSR Department Health camps are organized in all of our IBL Branches which covers 4 States and 1 union Territory in India. It was made possible through our strategic tie ups with most reputed Hospitals in 10 IBL Regions.

The Hospitals are chosen based on their benevolent attitude & Government Insurance Schemes.

The Health care services provided to our IBL members are given below

  • Ortho camps: It deals with bone & joint problems like Arthritis etc.
  • Eye camps: For all eye related problems like Cataract, Pterygium etc
  • GH, Dental, Pulmonary camps: General health problems, Dental illnesses and lung related ailments
  • General Health & Obstetrics and Gynaecology camps: General Health issues and Women related health care problems.
  • Cancer Camps: It serves for dual purpose - Awareness and Cancer screening
  • Diabetic Retinopathy: It deals with eye diseases that affect only diabetes patients
  • Fertility camps: it deals with the women those who are having fertility problem
  • Health Checkups : it deals with providing our members jointly with Hospitals the CT Scans, ECGs and other checkups like BP, Sugar and BMTs.
  • Cardiac camps: It deals with various heart problems like Articular Septal Defect etc

After Screening, the members who are referred to Hospital for further treatment, will be sent to the concerned Hospitals and their surgery expenses will be covered under Government Schemes, District Blind Control Society or with maximum possible Discounts.




2. Environment Campaign


The purpose of giving free tree saplings to our IBL members is not only to protect the environment but also to economically benefit their family by giving them free teak, amla and other tree saplings.

3. Veterinary Vaccine Camps:


Apart from doing health camps to our IBL members, we also provide best Veterinary Health care services to their livestock also through our tie ups with Government Veterinary Hospitals in Tamilnadu.

The health care services rendered in the Veterinary and Veterinary vaccine camps are as followed

  • Removal of Bowel worm from cows
  • Ranikhet Disease vaccination - poultry
  • Pregnancy Test - Cow & Goat
  • Castration - Dog
  • Artificial Insemination
  • Komari Disease Vaccination
  • Anti Hysteria vaccination - Dog

4. Charity Programs:


In addition to the Regular CSR Health & Environment camps, we also organize Charity programs for poor, old age, Destitute persons, to children who are either physically or mentally challenged which includes Diwali, Christmas Celebrations etc.


B. Women Empowerment


The purpose is to make the women to aware of their self and their role in the society. further to educate the members to make use of their availed loan in a better way which results in obtaining the maximum benefit out of it.

Under Women Empowerment, we organize 4 types of Programs - Federation leader Meetings, Financial Literacy Programs, International Women's Day Celebrations and International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and its details are given below

1. Federation Leader Meetings:

The main purpose of Organizing FLMs is to promote IBL business. Various other aspects like the importance of Centre meeting, Member attendance, loan utilization, benefits of New member mobilization, operation policy updating, Savings are done by the respected GM, Regional Managers, Divisional Managers, HO staff, Regional CSR staff in each FLM meeting.

2. Financial Literacy Programs:

Financial literacy is the possession of the set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources. it focuses on the ability to manage personal finance matters in an efficient manner, and it includes the knowledge of making appropriate decisions about personal finance such as investing, insurance, real estate, paying for college, budgeting, retirement and tax planning.

3. International Women's Day Celebration:

Every year, On March 8,International Women's Day Celebration is celebrated in all of our IBL Regions so as to create awareness in the minds of our IBL members regarding women rights, Usage of Helmet, Environmental awareness and current issues that continuously exploits women and the ways to tackle them.

4. International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women:

Every year, on November 25, we organize International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women in all of our IBl Regions through which we try to eliminate violence against women and fortify them with the strategies to resist the domestic violence enforced on them.

Business Development Services:


The BDS programs are organized to enrich our clients and develop their business through various business tactics and make them successful in their business endeavors. It includes both vocational skill based live Demonstrations and theoretical sessions.

D. Eradication of Hunger:




Free food (Annadhanam) is given to member who comes for borrowing the loan, also provided to Old Age People, orphans, mentally disabled, street dwellers, destitute people and also given in the places of Worships on daily basis.
